This two-hour experience with SW SUP combines a short beginner-friendly lesson with a relaxed guided tour along the calm waters of the Mira River, giving you just enough technique to feel confident on the board before the real experience begins. Suitable for complete beginners and anyone looking for a gentle adventure on the water.<\/p>\n

We start with the essentials: how to stand up, balance, paddle and steer your board safely in calm and flat water. Once you feel comfortable Ant\u00f3nio leads the group out onto the river for a guided tour through the stunning natural surroundings of the Mira, taking in the peaceful atmosphere, the unique views and the particular quality of silence that this stretch of river is known for. All equipment is provided, a certified instructor is with you throughout and insurance is included, so the only thing you need to focus on is enjoying the moment.<\/p>

I am Ant\u00f3nio Pereira, founder of SW SUP and a water sports instructor born and raised in Vila Nova de Milfontes. I have been sharing stand up paddle experiences on the Mira River since 2017, alongside a passionate and experienced team, and my goal with every session is always the same: that you leave with a smile, great memories and maybe a new passion for the ocean and the river.<\/p>\n

Solo participants booking a single session incur a supplement of 12 euros. Special prices available for groups. Board and wetsuit rental rates also available on request. Activity is subject to tidal and weather conditions and may be cancelled or adjusted at short notice.
