Kids surf lesson at Praia Grande for children aged 6 to 12 who want to learn to surf in a relaxed, fun and genuinely encouraging environment on one of the most beautiful beaches on the Sintra coast. Led by Pedro Marques, born and raised at Praia das Ma\u00e7as with a lifelong connection to the ocean, each two-hour session is designed to give children a safe and progressive introduction to surfing and bodyboard, building discipline, ocean awareness and the specific skills these water sports develop in a way that makes every session something to look forward to. All equipment included.<\/p>\n
The session follows a clear three-part structure. Before entering the water, children receive a short beach introduction covering essential equipment and safety rules, followed by a warm-up and initial technique teaching on the sand. In the water, an adaptation phase begins without the board, allowing children to feel the movement and force of the waves before picking up the surfboard and starting the practical lesson. Throughout the session the focus is on learning to respect the ocean and surf with growing confidence, knowledge and joy, always in a fun and supportive atmosphere that makes children want to come back.<\/p>\n

I am Pedro Marques, born and raised at Praia das Ma\u00e7as on the Sintra coast, where the mountains meet the sea. I have had a strong connection with the ocean since childhood through surfing and bodyboarding, and the main goal of my surf school is to transmit that passion to children and young people in a fun, relaxed and enthusiastic way. The ocean has given me so much and I want to share that with every student who steps into the water with me.<\/p>\n
