Ebru\u2019s approach to paper and origami is rooted in the dialogue between material and design, the idea that a flat, simple, recyclable sheet can become something three-dimensional and alive. Nature is her biggest source of inspiration and paper the material she uses to translate it, abstract it, play with colour and texture and push it into new forms. The workshop reflects that sensibility throughout, combining clear technical guidance with genuine creative freedom so every participant\u2019s bouquet and vase becomes distinctly their own.<\/p>\n

I am Ebru, architect, maker and the person behind Moonmade. I studied architecture and urban design and spent many years living and working as an architect in Belgium and Turkey before moving to Portugal in 2021. My interest in paper and origami became serious around 2010, drawn by the dialogue between material and design. Nature is my biggest source of inspiration and paper feels like the right material to translate it. I facilitate artistic workshops at Museu do Oriente and Espa\u00e7o Jap\u00e3o in Lisbon and various art centres in Istanbul, and my favourite part of all of it is making objects that bring people joy.
