Summer drawing workshop in Cascais at Oficina do Desenho, a two-hour session at 30 euros running Monday to Friday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, designed for anyone who wants to learn to draw or develop their existing skills through a creative journey that transforms the act of looking into the art of truly seeing. Suitable for ages 10 and over with no prior experience required, in a supportive and inspiring environment dedicated to the visual arts and creative practice since 2003.<\/p>\n
Through a series of practical exercises you develop observational, representational and expressive drawing skills while gaining confidence with a variety of traditional materials and techniques, covering contour drawing, line and tonal values, contrast, light and shadow, representing surfaces and textures, perspective and spatial awareness, understanding paper as a drawing surface and working with graphite, charcoal, pastel and ink washes. Oficina do Desenho is a Cascais-based arts association dedicated to the promotion, teaching and practice of visual arts and design, and a member of the Portuguese Network of Associations and Clubs for UNESCO.<\/p>\n
