Watercolour and gouache illustration workshop in Lisbon with Anna Matos, a multidisciplinary artist passionate about making creativity accessible and meaningful, a three-hour beginner-friendly session at 75 euros exploring a playful approach to painting that combines bold colour, simplified shapes, expressive linework, texture and visual storytelling inspired by contemporary editorial and artistic illustration. No prior painting or drawing experience needed. Rather than focusing on technical perfection, the session encourages you to observe the world around you and translate it through your own visual language, working with everyday subjects including people, objects, animals and imagined scenes and turning them into personal illustrations with genuine character and atmosphere. The session builds gradually from a brief introduction to materials and style, through material exploration with colour, transparency, opacity and texture, to drawing and simplification exercises, colour and composition work and a final illustration created with individual guidance and support. The goal is not for everyone to produce the same painting but for each participant to develop their own visual solutions through experimentation.<\/p>\n
