Turn your old clothes into something new and meaningful by weaving your own table mat at this hands-on upcycling workshop!🧵

As part of Mend In Public Day (April 26, 2025)—a global movement to resist disposable fashion through repair and reuse, we will be at Moinhos de São Filipe, em Setúbal, with the loom ready so you can weave a table mat.

What we’ll do: Bring your old clothes and transform them into a woven table mat using traditional weaving techniques. Together, we’ll turn textile waste into something beautiful and meaningful.

🔹 Who can join? No experience needed—just bring your worn-out fabrics and an open mind!

Clothing you can bring: sheets, t-shirts, jeans, and lightweight knits.
Once cut into strips, the fabrics will be woven on the loom.

Duration: 1h each participant (14h to 18h)
Target Audience: 12+ years
Number of Participants: Minimum 2 persons per hour – 8 spots

Let’s weave change, one thread at a time! Spaces are limited, so book your spot now.

Each participant must schedule a time slot, as only two people can weave at the same time.
