Discover the art of terrazzo and sustainable design in this hands-on terrazzo workshop where creativity meets environmental consciousness. Terrazzo is a traditional composite material made from crushed marble, granite, or quartz combined with cement to create durable and visually striking surfaces. In this modern workshop, conventional minerals are replaced with upcycled plastic, transforming waste materials into functional and decorative terrazzo objects.

This immersive workshop offers participants the opportunity to design and create unique cement and terrazzo pieces, including vases, pen holders, coasters, and decorative objects. You will learn essential mold-making techniques, cement casting methods, and terrazzo pattern creation, while gaining insight into sustainable craftsmanship and eco-friendly design practices. By using recycled plastic in your artwork, you will explore how everyday discarded materials can be transformed into vibrant and functional creations.

During the session, participants will work through the complete process of creating terrazzo objects from concept to finished piece. You will design your object, prepare molds using accessible materials, mix cement with sand and crushed plastic, and learn how to apply color and texture to achieve professional results. Finishing techniques such as sanding and sealing will ensure your terrazzo pieces are polished, durable, and ready to display.

This workshop is ideal for design enthusiasts, craft lovers, and eco-conscious makers who want to combine creativity with sustainability. Participants leave with a finished terrazzo object and a deeper understanding of how upcycling, cement casting, and terrazzo design can contribute to both artistic expression and environmental awareness.
