A slower start to your Sunday Morning and a gentle reset for the week ahead.

This 90-minute candle making workshop is designed as a calm, creative space to unwind, make something with your hands, and ease into the rhythm of a new week.

When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed in, get settled, and have a short introduction to guide you through the process. You’ll then choose your fragrance and begin creating your own soy wax candle, with gentle guidance throughout.

Once your candle is poured, it will need around 35/45 minutes to set the melted wax. This part of the session is intentionally unhurried and where you can personalise your label, chat, have a drink, or simply take a moment to pause.

There’s no rush as the time is yours to enjoy, whether you come on your own or with a friend.

When your candle is ready, you’ll finish it by trimming the wick and carefully boxing it up to take home the same day.

For best results, we recommend allowing your candle to cure for 7–10 days before lighting. This gives the fragrance time to fully develop and ensures a beautiful, even burn.

No experience is needed simply come as you are and enjoy the process.

More about your Teacher Niamh McCarthy

    Niamh McCarthy

    Hi,
    I’m Niamh!

Originally from Ireland, I now call the beautiful city of Lisbon home. I recently opened my candle studio in Graça, where I create and sell handcrafted soy wax candles.

In addition to my studio and store, I love hosting candle-making workshops. These are calm, peaceful, and creative experiences where I aim to share the joy of making something beautiful by hand. My goal is for every participant to enjoy the process as much as I do.

Before opening my studio, I worked in events and weddings, which sparked my love for hosting and all things creative. Bringing people together, sharing experiences, and helping them explore their creativity is at the heart of everything I do.

I’d love to welcome you to my studio and share the magic of candle making!
