Let’s have a drink and learn how to develop negatives with wine. Bring a B&W roll already exposed and join me at 8Marvila store to drink responsibly. Includes scaning of the developed rolls and a glass of wine.
I’ll start to teach you the basics of film emulsion and what happens chemistry wise when you develop film. Don’t worry if you are not familiar with photo theory or chemichal reactions, it’s suitable for all levels of knowledge and you will feel very confortable after this introduction.
After that we will learn what materials we use to develop traditionaly and load our first roll of film. After some practice you will be ready to load the roll you bought with you to this workshop.
The third moment will be a fun paralel with the theory we learnt at the begining because we will understand what the ingredients we are gonna use (especially the wine!) do to make them a substitute of a comercial developer.
While we develop we’ll have a glass of wine and enjoy the results.
Your negatives will be scanned and sent to you at the end of the day.

FAQ
Can I bring a color film roll instead of black&white?
You can but I advise you not to as the results may be disappointing.
Can I bring a 120 roll?
Sure! Any format!
What if I didn't shot any roll?
You can still come to the workshop but you will miss part of the fun of the practical part and see your roll come to life. Strongly recommend that in case you run out of time to shoot the roll before the date to just make some mindless shots so you have something to look foward to.
