Descrição do produto
Have you always wanted to explore ceramics but don’t know how or where to fire your work? For many ceramic artists, access to a kiln is one of the biggest challenges, often requiring a significant financial investment. Fortunately, there are alternatives.
In the Ceramic Kiln Building Workshop, you’ll learn how to build simple, low-cost kilns fired with either gas or wood, allowing you to safely fire your own ceramic pieces.
On the first day, you’ll create small ceramic objects using different clay bodies selected for their suitability to these traditional firing methods. You’ll then learn how these kilns work before preparing and firing your pieces safely.
By the end of the third day, you’ll unload your finished ceramics, evaluate the firing results, and gain a deeper understanding of the firing process before taking your handmade pieces home.
