BE Surf is more than a surf school—it's a community built around a passion for the ocean, nature, and sharing the joy of surfing. Based in the stunning surroundings of Vila Nova de Milfontes and Lisbon, BE Surf offers unforgettable experiences for surfers of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to experienced riders looking to improve their skills. With over a decade of experience, our certified instructors create a safe, supportive, and fun environment where every student can learn at their own pace. We keep our lesson groups small, with a maximum ratio of one instructor for every five surfers, ensuring plenty of individual guidance both in and out of the water. As a school certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation and registered with Turismo de Portugal, safety, quality, and respect for the ocean are at the heart of everything we do. Whether you're joining a group lesson, private coaching, children's session, or adapted surfing experience, our goal is to help you build confidence, develop your surfing skills, and create lasting memories on Portugal's beautiful coastline. At BE Surf, we believe surfing is more than a sport—it's a lifestyle that brings people together, encourages a deeper connection with nature, and inspires a lifelong love of the sea.

No. Our group surf lessons are suitable for complete beginners as well as surfers who want to improve their technique. Lessons are adapted to your experience level.
Everything you need is provided, including a surfboard suited to your ability, a wetsuit, safety vest (when required), and expert instruction from experienced surf coaches.
You'll learn surfing fundamentals, ocean safety, paddling techniques, how to catch waves, stand up on the board, and improve your skills through progressive coaching.
Bring your swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, and a bottle of water. We'll provide all the surfing equipment.
Yes. Safety is our top priority. You'll receive an introduction to ocean awareness and surf safety before entering the water, and our experienced instructors will guide and supervise you throughout the lesson.
All lesson times are subject to weather, tide, and beach conditions. The schedule must be confirmed in advance with your instructor to ensure the best possible experience.
Yes. Safety and quality conditions are our priority. If weather, tides, or sea conditions are unsuitable, we may reschedule the lesson to another time or location, and we will contact you as soon as possible.
