founder of Tê. Pê. ceramics. A designer by trade, Joana
discovered in ceramics her true passion.
At Tê. Pê. ceramics, it’s possible to see how important it is
the relation between the color technique and the way the
clay is manipulated. There is such a care for the process,
that it is hard to distinguish if the work was
done by a painter or by a ceramicist.
The artist everlasting creative exploration of mediums along with her meticulously handcrafted ceramics results in a distinct aesthetic.
She’s work is inspired by organic shapes, rooted in her Alentejo countryside upbringing and from the bright colours and geometric shapes of Bauhaus.
