Indoor climbing classes are one of the fastest growing fitness activities around right now, and for good reason: it combines a full body workout with genuine problem solving in a community that tends to be unusually welcoming to newcomers. The part that stops most people from trying it is not the climbing itself but everything around it, the techniques, the safety protocols, the gym etiquette that everyone else seems to already know. Our intro climbing class in Lisbon exists to close that gap, giving you everything you need to walk into any climbing gym and use it confidently and safely on your own.
The session runs for one hour in a small group of maximum five participants, which means you get real individual attention throughout. We cover bouldering principles and how to read a route before you touch the wall, proper footwork and weight transfer techniques that make climbing efficient rather than exhausting, hand grip variations matched to different hold types, body positioning and centre of gravity management, safe falling techniques and how to land correctly on crash pads, and gym etiquette including route colour coding systems and how to share space with other climbers. You practice everything under instructor supervision, progressing from easier routes to slightly more challenging problems as your technique develops across the hour.
