Some days deserve more than a card. My Women’s Day ceramics workshop in Oeiras is a dedicated creative session designed around one idea: giving yourself an afternoon that is entirely yours. You will work with clay at your own pace, exploring shapes, textures and decorative patterns intuitively, with no pressure and no prior experience needed. Just your hands, the material, and the pleasure of making something from scratch in good company.
We work at the table throughout the session, which keeps everything relaxed and sociable. I walk you through the hand modelling and decoration techniques at the start, then the session opens up into individual creative exploration, with engobes for colour and a transparent glaze finish that brings the piece to life after firing. The atmosphere is deliberately unhurried. There will be small treats, good conversation, and enough time to actually enjoy the process rather than rush through it.

I am Priscila Latorre and I have been working with ceramics for eleven years. What I love most about teaching is watching people surprise themselves, especially those who arrive convinced they are not creative. This session is designed to prove otherwise, in the nicest possible way.
No experience with clay or ceramics needed. If you can sit down, slow down, and give yourself permission to enjoy an afternoon, you are ready for this workshop.
