Surf lesson in Odeceixe for beginners and anyone who wants to experience the thrill of catching waves in one unforgettable session on Portugal’s stunning southwest coast. Odeceixe Surf School’s fully qualified and friendly coaches guide you through 2.5 to 3 hours of water time, including transport to beaches that only locals know about, a full spot introduction covering dangers, rips, currents and paddle technique, and hands-on coaching from your first paddle to your first wave. Surfboard, wetsuit and sports insurance all included.

The session begins with a thorough spot introduction, giving you the ocean awareness and safety knowledge you need before entering the water. From there the coaching adapts entirely to your level, whether you are standing on a surfboard for the first time or looking to improve existing technique. The beaches used are carefully selected by the team based on conditions on the day, chosen for the quality of learning they provide rather than their proximity to the crowds. The atmosphere throughout is fun, encouraging and rooted in a genuine love for the ocean and everything it offers.
