No. This creative experience is suitable for complete beginners and anyone who would like to explore clay in a fun and relaxed environment. Your instructor will guide you through every step of the process.
You'll create one or more unique ceramic figurative sculptures inspired by the rich Portuguese tradition of figurado. Using a variety of hand-building techniques, you'll shape expressive and imaginative clay figures to take home.
Yes. You can either take your unfired sculpture home immediately or leave it at the studio to be professionally fired in our ceramic kiln. Kiln firing is included in the experience fee.
Yes. Children up to 11 years old are welcome to participate when accompanied by one paying adult. It's a wonderful creative activity for families to enjoy together.
The experience includes all the clay, tools, materials, expert guidance, and kiln firing of your ceramic sculpture if you choose to leave it at the studio. You'll also enjoy an engaging introduction to one of Portugal's most charming ceramic traditions.
