Workshop Experience and Learning Process

This botanical watercolor session follows gentle structured progression:

Natural Subject Introduction: Begin with floral and bird reference images or real botanical specimens if available, learning to observe shapes, patterns, and color relationships essential for translating natural forms into convincing watercolor representations.

Wash Foundation: Master background establishment and base color application through even wash techniques, discovering how watercolor flows and settles on paper providing foundation for subsequent layering and detail work.

Wet on Wet Exploration: Practice soft blended transitions perfect for delicate petal edges and feather texture rendering, experiencing watercolor’s spontaneous fluid effects where pigments flow together creating organic atmospheric qualities.

Wet on Dry Precision: Learn crisp edge achievement for sharp leaf veins and wing definitions, understanding when to work on dry paper for controlled detail versus wet paper for spontaneous blending.

Transparent Layering: Build depth through successive pigment applications unique to watercolor, discovering how transparent layers create complex colors and dimensional effects impossible with opaque painting media.

Color Mixing Practice: Explore how watercolor pigments interact when layered rather than mixed on palette, learning to predict and control color relationships specific to transparent medium properties.

Expressive Brushwork: Develop mark making suggesting organic textures and forms rather than laboriously rendering every detail, balancing observation with artistic interpretation and spontaneity.

Personal Pace Creation: Work through complete floral and bird composition with individual guidance adapted to your comfort level, creating finished botanical ornithological painting reflecting both technical learning and personal creative expression.

Recomendo a 100%.
