I am Marta, a Portuguese visual artist, born in Leiria and based in Lisbon for the past 18 years. My practice focuses primarily on tattooing, illustration and installation, exploring the relationship between the real and the surreal, as well as themes related to the body, nature, perception and social critique.
Drawing is at the core of my work and finds expression through different visual languages and mediums. My practice is multidisciplinary, bringing together artistic creation, education and participation, and reflecting my interest in the relationships between people.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Educational Sciences and a Master's degree in Intercultural Education and Arts Education. Throughout my career, I have worked as a trainer in various fields alongside my artistic practice, and have participated in and developed artistic and educational projects with diverse audiences and in different contexts.
The course is designed for people who want to start facilitating workshops or mini-courses. It focuses on the practical foundations of teaching and facilitation. You should have a skill, practice, or area of knowledge that you want to share; previous teaching experience is not specified as a requirement.
You’ll finish with a working structure for your own workshop or mini-course, including its learning objectives, content, methodology, activities, and required resources. This gives you a practical starting point for developing your idea further.
You’ll learn how to define learning objectives, structure a session, select teaching methods, facilitate group participation, manage time, adapt to different learning needs, and give constructive feedback. You’ll also explore ways to evaluate learning and improve your workshop.
The training lasts 12 hours and can be organised over two days or across four three-hour sessions, depending on the context and participants’ availability. The approach combines explanations, discussions, exercises, demonstrations, and practical applications.
No. This is an introductory, practical training programme. It does not provide pedagogical certification or a specific professional qualification, nor does it qualify participants for roles that legally require separate training or certification.
Yes, of course it is. We will be able to do it in your company space and in the agreed schedule. Please contact the Hands On team to discuss further details.
