There is a particular kind of quiet that comes with working clay. Our ceramics workshop in Lisbon is an introductory session designed around that feeling: no pressure, no prior experience needed, just you and your hands and a material that responds to exactly as much attention as you give it. Each person in the group works at their own

We open with a short introduction to ceramics and its history, just enough context to make the session feel grounded. From there we move into a technical demonstration covering the core hand modelling and finishing techniques before everyone gets their hands in the clay. The rest of the session is yours to explore, shaping, texturing and decorating your piece with guidance available throughout. The pace is calm and the atmosphere is relaxed by design.

What you leave with

A finished ceramic piece that you made with your own hands.. Every piece comes out different, and that is exactly how it should be. Finished pieces require kiln firing after the session. Collection of your piece will be arranged separately once firing is complete.

We are the Hands On team and we design private workshop experiences for individuals, couples and small groups across Portugal.
