Spearfishing course in Oeiras for anyone who wants to learn the full foundations of underwater fishing safely, responsibly and with genuine technical depth. Led by Miguel Ferreira, a CMAS certified instructor, this is a two-day programme that combines eight hours of structured theory across ten modules on day one with a three-hour practical sea session by boat on day two. Maximum four participants per course to ensure real individual attention throughout.
Day one runs from 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 7pm, covering everything you need to understand before you enter the water: equipment and DIY maintenance, diving techniques, hunting techniques, safety protocols, biology, marine sciences, legislation, ethics and practical tips and curiosities from years of experience in the field. Miguel provides a full course manual so you have everything covered in writing to refer back to after the course. Day two takes you out to sea by boat for three hours of practical application of everything covered the day before, from 9am to 12pm. Please note the sea session may be rescheduled depending on sea conditions.

What to bring
Equipment is the responsibility of each participant and is not provided. No materials are needed for the theory day. The course manual is provided by Miguel.

The Confederation Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques is one of the oldest and most respected certification bodies for scuba diving, freediving and scientific diving in the world, and my certification reflects a commitment to teaching these disciplines to the highest possible standard of safety and technique.
Minimum age 14 with written parental consent. Minimum 2 and maximum 4 participants per course. Own equipment required for the practical sea session. Sea session may be rescheduled subject to conditions.
