Sempre gostei de trabalhar com madeira e de ser responsável pela construção e reparação de estruturas de madeira, pelo que a minha principal área de especialização é a carpintaria. Temos tido muito sucesso e decidimos expandir para Portugal a partir do Reino Unido. O meu nome é Silas Morgan, vivo no coração da Ericeira com a minha mulher e dois filhos. No previous experience is necessary. This workshop is suitable for beginners and anyone interested in developing practical woodworking skills. Your instructor will guide you through each stage, from preparing the timber to finishing your shelf.
You can choose from oak, kambala or acacia. Each hardwood has its own distinctive grain, texture and colour, allowing you to create a floating shelf that suits your personal style.
You'll learn how to select, plane and prepare timber, shape and sand wood, apply finishing techniques such as oiling, and understand how to mount and level your floating shelf at home. You'll also gain experience using professional woodworking tools under expert guidance.
All necessary materials, professional woodworking tools, instructor guidance and step-by-step tuition are included. You'll also receive advice on finishing and installing your shelf at home. Meals, drinks and transportation to and from the meeting point are not included.
You'll leave with your own handcrafted solid hardwood floating shelf, practical woodworking skills and a deeper appreciation for fine craftsmanship. Your finished piece will be a functional, personal addition to your home, made by you from start to finish.
