Oil painting has a quality that acrylic simply does not: a richness of texture and depth of colour that makes everything you put on the canvas feel immediate and alive. At our abstract nude painting workshop in Lisbon, we guide you through the oil painting technique using shapes, lines, colours and textures to build your own interpretation of the human form in abstract. It is less about accuracy and more about expression, which makes it one of the most freeing painting experiences you can have as a complete beginner.
We work through the fundamentals of oil painting first, covering how the medium behaves, how to layer colour and how to use texture intentionally rather than accidentally. From there you move into building your abstract nude composition, with our artist guiding you through every decision and helping you develop your own visual language throughout the session. The studio environment is relaxed and unhurried, designed to make experimentation feel natural rather than pressured.

At Meet Art our studio in Lisbon is built around one idea: that everyone is capable of making something meaningful when given the right guidance and the right environment. We run workshops for all experience levels and our approach is always the same, step by step, relaxed, and focused on what you actually produce by the end of the session.
Our tutor will meet you at the front door of the building at Lote A, ten minutes before the session begins. If you arrive after that, ring the doorbell at number 249.
No prior experience with oil painting or art needed. If you are curious about abstraction and want to explore what you are capable of with a brush in your hand, this is the workshop for you.
