Gin distillery visit in Alentejo at Black Pig Distillery, located in the heart of the Alentejo cork oak landscape, for an exclusive look inside the artisanal production of one of Europe’s most awarded gins. Over 40 minutes, a brand distiller guides you through the full production process, from maceration and distillation to bottling and labelling, with the traditional copper still at the centre of everything. The visit ends with a gin and tonic of your choice in the showroom bar, where the quality of what you just watched being made becomes immediately and pleasurably apparent. Maximum eight guests per visit and children are welcome and free until age 18.

The visit covers the production of Black Pig Gin in both the Alentejo Coast and Alentejo Montado expressions, alongside Medronho brandy and Ilha do Pessegueiro Rum, giving you a complete picture of what this distillery produces and why the region shapes everything about it. The manual work carried out in a traditional copper still is the centrepiece: watching a skilled distiller work through maceration, distillation, bottling and labelling by hand tells you more about what is in the bottle than any tasting note could. After the visit, depending on the daily schedule, you can join activities including show cooking, a farm visit and fire shows.

More than a distillery, Black Pig represents a celebration of heritage, sustainability and the particular character of this region in every bottle.
