Parkour flow workshop for children aged 5 to 8 in Carcavelos at Pinhal do Junqueiro on 17 May, an outdoor session specially designed for the youngest movers, introducing parkour in a safe, progressive and genuinely fun way adapted to this age group. Led by Professor Daniel Arraia and Professor Afonso Neves from Parkour WAY, who have been teaching parkour in Lisbon since 2014, this session gives young children their first experience of parkour movement with total focus on safety and the joy of moving together outdoors.
The session follows the same three clear objectives as the older group but adapted entirely to the developmental stage and energy of 5 to 8 year olds: learning the fundamental movements with a total focus on safe technique, developing fluidity and the smooth connection between movements at a pace that suits younger bodies and attention spans, and building community among children who love to move, explore and have fun together. The Pinhal do Junqueiro location in Carcavelos is easy to access with simple parking and sits close to the beach for families who want to make a full afternoon of it.
