Scented plaster workshop in Valadares at Cer’Arte, installed in the heart of the historic Cerâmica de Valadares in Vila Nova de Gaia, for anyone who wants to create their own decorative pieces that carry their favourite fragrance. This hands-on session teaches you to work with ceramic plaster to bring delicate and beautifully scented figures to life, an art that appeals to both sight and smell and is ideal for decorating your home or creating personalised and meaningful gifts. All materials included and a coffee break with tea, coffee and snacks prepared for you during the session.
The workshop focuses on three core skills: achieving the perfect plaster mix, mastering the bubble-free pouring technique that gives each piece its clean and delicate finish, and fixing the fragrance in a way that makes the scent last. You work across a selection of moulds, creating a set of scented plaster pieces that are entirely your own in both form and fragrance. The historic Cer’Arte space in Valadares, where generations of ceramic craft echo through the walls, adds a particular atmosphere to the creative process that makes the session feel grounded in something larger than a single afternoon.
