No. This course is designed for beginners and anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of woodworking and carpentry.
Participants will build a wooden serving tray, a wooden chest with a lid, and a small chair while learning essential woodworking techniques.
Participants should bring a pencil, measuring tape, carpenter's square, carpenter's hammer, 10 mm chisel, and a backsaw whenever possible.
Yes. The wood and materials required for the course projects are provided unless otherwise specified by the instructor.
The course runs from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on each of the four course days and includes intensive practical workshop sessions. These sessions take place in 2 weekends in a row.
Wear comfortable work clothes that can get dusty or dirty. Close-fitting clothing, overalls, or an apron are recommended. Long hair should be tied back.
No. Participants should bring their own lunch, snacks, and drinks. A dining area is available on-site, and refreshments can also be purchased from the farm shop.
The course covers measuring, marking, cutting, sanding, chiseling, assembling joints, dovetail joints, mortise and tenon joints, tool handling, and woodworking safety.
You will take home the projects you build during the course, including a serving tray, a wooden chest, and a chair, along with valuable woodworking skills and experience.
