At Blood Brothers, surfing is more than a sport—it's a way of life. Born from a passion for craftsmanship, creativity, and the ocean, Blood Brothers was built on the belief that every surfboard should have its own story. We don't believe in one-size-fits-all boards. Every shape is designed with purpose, carefully crafted to match the surfer, the waves they ride, and the experience they're looking for. Our workshop is where traditional hand-shaping meets modern innovation. Every board is designed, refined, and built with meticulous attention to detail, combining years of craftsmanship with an ongoing desire to improve performance and create something truly unique. But Blood Brothers is about more than surfboards. It's about sharing knowledge, preserving the craft, and inviting others into the shaping bay. Through our workshops, participants experience the entire journey of building a surfboard—from the first design ideas to shaping the blank and discovering how a custom board comes to life. It's an opportunity to understand the artistry behind every curve, every rail, and every decision that transforms raw materials into a board made to be ridden. Whether you're searching for a custom surfboard, curious about the shaping process, or simply passionate about surfing culture, Blood Brothers offers an experience that connects people with the craft behind every wave. Because the best surfboards aren't just made—they're shaped with purpose, passion, and respect for the ocean.
You'll leave with a fully customised surfboard that you designed and built yourself, over 50 hours of practical shaping experience, a comprehensive workshop manual, a certificate of participation, and, most importantly, a surfboard with a story that will stay with you every time you head into the water.
To ensure plenty of personal guidance and hands-on time, workshops are limited to 2–5 participants.
The Standard Workshop begins with a CNC pre-shaped blank, allowing you to focus on shaping, refinement, and finishing. The Hand Shape Workshop starts from a raw foam blank, giving you the complete traditional shaping experience using professional hand tools.
Yes. This is a genuinely hands-on workshop. You'll actively design, shape, and personalise your surfboard. The only stage completed by professionals is the lamination process, ensuring your board meets professional quality and safety standards.
Not at all. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced surfers. Every stage is explained clearly, and you'll be guided throughout the process.
