No, I will provide you with some techniques which facilitate painting.
Yes! If you already have any special idea for your own tile, feel free to prepare the reference. If not, you will be able to get inspirations in studio from the prepared examples.
Each participant can paint up to three ceramic tiles. You'll have the opportunity to explore traditional Portuguese patterns and motifs, as well as create a personalised design inspired by a theme of your choice.
Your tiles need to be fired after the workshop to complete the ceramic process. They'll be ready for collection in approximately one week. This allows your handmade creations to become lasting keepsakes of your time in Lisbon.
The workshop includes guidance from your instructor, ceramic tiles, and the materials needed to paint your designs using special ceramic colours. You'll also learn about the history and traditions of Portuguese azulejos in a relaxed, hands-on environment.
The workshop takes place in a small, independent ceramics studio in Graça, Lisbon. With a maximum of seven participants, the experience offers a welcoming atmosphere and individual guidance throughout the session.
