Product Description
Candle making workshop in Lisbon designed around one idea: a slower, more intentional start to your Sunday morning. Pour and Pause is a 90-minute session at Niamh’s candle studio in Graça where you make your own soy wax candle from scratch, choose your fragrance, personalise your label and leave with a finished, boxed candle the same day. No experience needed and no rush. The time is yours to enjoy however you want to use it.
When you arrive you are welcomed in, settled and given a short introduction to guide you through the process before you choose your fragrance and begin pouring. Once your candle is poured it needs around 35 to 45 minutes to set, and that window is intentionally unhurried: personalise your label, have a coffee or tea, chat with the people around you or simply sit and take a moment to pause. When your candle is ready you trim the wick, box it up and take it home. For the best burn and fragrance, we recommend allowing it to cure for 7 to 10 days before lighting.

I am Niamh McCarthy, originally from Ireland and now based in Lisbon where I recently opened my candle studio and store in Graça. Before the studio I worked in events and weddings, which is where my love for hosting and bringing people together through creative experiences began. I make and sell handcrafted soy wax candles from the studio and host workshops that are calm, peaceful and genuinely enjoyable, because my goal is always that you leave having loved the process as much as the finished candle.
Sessions run on Sundays at 11am. Workshops are held in English. Come on your own or bring a friend.
