I’m Sofiya, the artist behind Sofy Art Algarve.
I’ve always been inspired by the beauty of nature — the shapes of leaves, the delicate details of flowers, the colours, textures and little imperfections that make every natural element unique. Living in the Algarve gives me endless inspiration, and I love bringing these elements into my creative practice.
For me, making art is not about being perfect or following rules. It’s about slowing down, observing, experimenting and giving yourself the freedom to see where your creativity takes you.
Through my workshops, I love creating a relaxed and welcoming space where everyone can reconnect with their creativity, regardless of their artistic experience. I believe we all have a creative side — sometimes we simply need a little time and space to let it come out.
I especially enjoy combining drawing with natural materials such as pressed flowers and plants. There is something very special about working with elements that have their own shapes, colours and stories, and turning them into something personal and meaningful.
My workshops are an invitation to pause, connect with nature and enjoy the simple pleasure of creating something with your own hands.
