Advanced natural soap making workshop Level 2 in Rio de Mouro with Saboaria da Sofia, a three-hour advanced session at 62 euros for anyone who already has experience with the cold process method and wants to take their soap making further. Building on beginner fundamentals, you learn how to formulate your own custom recipes, combine vegetable oils, butters and essential oils to achieve the exact characteristics you want in your soap, and practise professional decoration and design techniques while producing your own personalised batch. Suitable for ages 15 and over, previous cold process experience or completion of a beginner workshop required.

The session covers how to create your own custom soap formula, the properties of vegetable oils, butters and essential oils and how to combine them effectively, advanced soap decoration and design techniques, and how to identify and solve common soap-making problems. Best practices for safe and successful cold process soap making are reinforced throughout, giving you the knowledge and confidence to create unique artisan soaps independently, whether for personal use or as the foundation for a small creative business. All materials, ingredients, soap mold and protective equipment are provided, with a coffee break included. Please bring an apron and a long-sleeved shirt or lab coat.
