"It is not the great days of fishing or tournament wins that make me love it so much, it's the small details of each day that remind me of how lucky I am. It can be the most action-filled day of White Marlin or Tuna fishing or the longest, roughest, and most uncomfortable crossing I've ever made, either way, it's my job. And I'm happy to do it. Of course, it's not all record-breaking days and tournament wins. There are certainly frustrating days but then I realize that I am doing something that I love. When we raise a double or a triple, I forget about looking up and get excited about fishing all over again." Captain Pedro holds numerous tournament awards from All Millionaire Pacific Circuit Tournaments, the Los Cabos Billfish Tournament, and the South Africa WorldChampionship – to name a few. This winter 2026, we made 2 major upgrades, in our boat; now we have a new omni sonar, and a new electric iron Min Kota; both to help us to improve fishing. Numbers from the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament indicate that boats using omni sonar can experience catch rates 60% to 84% higher than those without this powerful technology. No one would argue with the premise that omnidirectional sonar is a great fish-catching tool.

Our offshore fishing trips target exciting big game species including Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Mahi-Mahi (Dourado), Skipjack Tuna, Bonito, and seasonal Tuna species. Fishing takes place between 5 and 15 nautical miles from the Algarve coast using trolling techniques.
Yes, children are welcome on board. Safety is a top priority, and life jackets plus all necessary safety equipment are provided for both children and adults to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for the whole family.
No experience is necessary. Pedro Casanova and the crew provide guidance, equipment, and assistance throughout the trip, making reef fishing suitable for families, beginners, and experienced anglers alike.
Yes, all essential fishing equipment is included in the reef fishing experience, including rods, reels, bait, and tackle. Guests only need to bring comfortable clothing, sunscreen, and a camera to enjoy the day.
The trip includes fishing licences, professional fishing tackle, bait, drinks including water and beer, fresh fruit, and a light snack. Our experienced crew will also assist throughout the experience.
Depending on the catch, guests may be able to take home part of the fish caught, within legal regulations and conservation guidelines. More importantly, you’ll leave with unforgettable memories of big game fishing in the Algarve.
