Working as an architect, Nuno is passionate about all-things-ocean, including designing boards, shaping them, and ultimately playing around in the waves with his creation. Throughout the years he's developed his own shaping workshop to teach people like you how to build your own board step-by-step. The satisfaction he gets out of seeing people build their board is the reason he teaches in the first place!
No, the process is simple and artisanal. The plastic used is very light and easy to work with. The entire process consists of measuring, drawing, cutting, shaping, adding the final touches. The tools can be manual or electric, with always an alternative for each step.
Yes, at the end the board is yours to surf.
You can leave the workshop and go straight to surf with it.
Yes, you can try them on scrap plastic until you feel comfortable moving to your board. If you're not comfortable, there are always alternatives!
