FAQ's
Not at all! This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those who have already experimented with ceramics. Your instructor will guide you through each stage of the process, helping you understand how to handle the clay and use the pottery wheel at your own pace.
You'll learn how to create a bowl on the pottery wheel. The process includes centring the clay, raising the walls, shaping and refining the foot of your piece, and decorating it with colourful engobes. Your final creation will be unique to you.
Your bowl needs time to dry and undergo the necessary finishing and firing processes before it's ready to use. It will be ready for collection approximately two weeks after the workshop. Please confirm the collection arrangements with the organiser.
Yes! The minimum age is 8 years old. Pottery can be a wonderful way for children to explore their creativity, practise coordination and develop concentration through hands-on learning. The instructor will provide guidance throughout the activity.
No special equipment is required, as the clay, tools and materials needed for the activity are provided. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, as working with clay can be a wonderfully messy experience!
