Sewing school and Co-Sewing Space for Creators in the Heart of Lisbon As one of the worlds oldest handcrafts, we believe everyone can learn to sew wherefore we opened our creative space. We offer a variety of options to jump into the sewing world: for bloody beginners, hobby-seekers, new creators over to advanced designers. Choose from beginner workshops, hour card options or other offers. We can teach in Portuguese, English, German and... and always have groovy music and wine if needed ;) Start sewing with us!
Not at all. This workshop is designed for complete beginners as well as anyone who wants to refresh the basics. You'll be guided through every step, from threading a sewing machine to completing your first sewing project.
You'll leave with a tote bag you've sewn yourself, a solid understanding of basic sewing stitches, confidence using a sewing machine, and practical knowledge you can build on to start mending, altering or making your own clothes.
Yes. We provide all fabrics, sewing tools, machines and materials needed for the workshop, along with tea and snacks throughout the session. Just bring yourself and your curiosity.
To keep the experience personal and ensure everyone receives individual guidance, each session is limited to just six participants.
The Sewing Starter Workshop takes place on the first Saturday of every month from 10:00am to 1:30pm at The Loft Atelier, a welcoming sewing school and co-sewing space in the heart of Lisbon. Classes are available in Portuguese, English and German.

Adorei este workshop. Entrei sem saber nada e saí de lá com uma tote bag feita por mim. Sem dúvida que quero explorar mais workshops da hands on 🙂

I loved the class and the teacher and Fabs! I can’t believe how quickly the 3.5 hours went by. Also can’t believe that we managed to make a nice tote bag at the end. It seemed like a breeze, seemed easy and fun and no stress. I will definitely go back to learn more!
Dear Nemat! Thank you “sew” much for your sweet words and nice feedback. It was magical to had you here. Stitching and story telling. The best!
