I'm passionate about helping people discover the excitement of being on the water while building confidence, skills, and a lifelong love for outdoor adventure. As an instructor at Sports Center Cascais, I believe every session should be safe, enjoyable, and tailored to each person's experience level. Whether you're trying Stand-Up Paddle, Kayaking, Wing Foil, E-Foil, or another water sport for the first time, my goal is to create a welcoming environment where you can learn at your own pace and enjoy everything Cascais Bay has to offer. I focus on providing clear guidance, encouraging progress, and ensuring every experience is memorable. I look forward to meeting you on the water and helping you make the most of your time in one of Portugal's most beautiful coastal destinations.
FAQ's
No. Our Stand-Up Paddle lessons are suitable for complete beginners as well as those with previous experience. Your instructor will adapt the lesson to your skill level, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident throughout the session.
We recommend bringing your swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses with a retainer (optional), and a bottle of water. We provide the paddleboard, paddle, leash, and buoyancy aid if required.
You'll learn the fundamentals of Stand-Up Paddle, including how to safely handle the equipment, paddle efficiently, stand up with confidence, maintain your balance, turn the board, and navigate the water safely. As you progress, your instructor will introduce more advanced techniques tailored to your ability.
By the end of your lesson, you'll leave with the confidence to paddle independently, a solid understanding of SUP techniques and water safety, and unforgettable memories of exploring the beautiful Cascais Bay. You'll also gain a new appreciation for the ocean and a fun activity you can enjoy almost anywhere in the world.
