Watercolor is one of those techniques that looks effortless when done well and feels magical the moment it starts working for you. At our watercolor landscape workshop in Lisbon, we guide you through a straightforward and genuinely enjoyable method for creating landscape paintings, covering the tricks, the possibilities and the small technical decisions that make the difference between a painting that works and one that does not. By the end of the session you will have created two finished landscapes and a solid foundation to keep going at home.
We work through the core watercolor techniques first, covering how the medium behaves with water, how to build colour through washes and layers, and how to use lines and stains to suggest depth and atmosphere in a landscape composition. From there you move into creating your two paintings step by step, with our artist guiding every stage and helping you develop confidence with the medium as the session progresses. The studio atmosphere is relaxed and social throughout, with a glass of wine, tea or coffee to keep things easy.
