Textile weaving residency in Lisbon at Rita Martins Pereira’s cosy private studio, a one-week immersive experience for anyone who wants to learn the art of weaving properly, with four hours of hands-on guidance every day and a fully personalised approach from start to finish. Led by Rita, textile designer and artisan behind Cross Lights, this is a private session booked exclusively for you, covering everything from setting up and working with a table loom to calculating warp and weft, exploring designs, textures, materials and colours and experimenting with different finishing techniques. You leave with a project that genuinely reflects the creative and relaxing week you spent in Lisbon.

Before your visit, Rita arranges a video call to finalise the details of your experience, tailoring the content to your interests, experience level and what you want to take away. The studio is intimate and welcoming, creating the kind of focused and unhurried learning environment that a residency format makes possible in a way that a single workshop simply cannot. Accommodation is available on request for those travelling to Lisbon specifically for the residency. Please note the studio is on the third floor without a lift.
