With a background in Active and Experiential Tourism and more than six years of experience creating immersive travel experiences, Afonso is known for designing journeys that go beyond traditional tourism. Through Comporta Experience, he curates private and personalized adventures that blend nature, gastronomy, history, and local storytelling. Through Marvão Adventure, he leads outdoor activities such as canyoning, kayaking, hiking, and off-road expeditions in the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park. A passionate surfer, traveler, and explorer, Afonso has also journeyed across Southeast Asia and South America, experiences that shaped his unique vision of tourism — one based on authenticity, human connection, and meaningful discovery. We recommend comfortable clothing, walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and water. Binoculars are included, but you are welcome to bring your own camera or bird guide if desired.
