Rita Andrade is an artist from Lisbon who holds a degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon (2020) and a Master’s degree in Art & Politics from Goldsmiths (2021).
She draws upon her solid technical background and international experience to guide students as they take their first steps into the art world.
Her teaching approach demystifies the act of painting, transforming the classroom into a welcoming space for discovery and expression.
In her classes, students develop fundamental skills—ranging from mastering techniques and materials to creating harmony, contrast, and depth, and training their eyes to perceive shapes, light, and shadow. Just as importantly, she helps her students build the courage to take risks, make mistakes, and step out of their comfort zones—free from the fear of judgment—as they pursue their creative journeys.

Not at all! These classes are open to beginners and anyone looking to develop their artistic skills. Whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time or want to refine your existing techniques, Rita Andrade will help you explore your creativity at your own pace.
You'll have the opportunity to explore drawing and different painting techniques, including oil, gouache, acrylic and watercolour. You can start with the fundamentals of drawing or focus on the techniques that interest you most, developing your skills in a supportive environment.
Classes take place every Monday from 6 PM to 8 PM in Estoril, led by Rita Andrade. The classes are scheduled to begin on 19 October, offering a regular creative moment to look forward to each week.
You'll develop essential artistic skills such as observation, proportion, light and shadow, colour theory, colour mixing and handling different materials. You'll also explore visual thinking, creative expression and ways to reflect on and improve your own artistic process.
The classes take place in a relaxed, friendly and fun environment where you can learn without pressure. They're an opportunity to experiment, express yourself, meet other creative people and enjoy time dedicated to your artistic development.
The price in the listing is for a 4 course session, but you can add another 50€ and include the 8 session painting course in the add on section.
