Napoli Gourmet aims to introduce you to authentic Italian cuisine—the kind of cooking learned in family kitchens and passed down from generation to generation. Because Italian cuisine is more than just a collection of recipes; it represents a way of life that nourishes not only the palate but also people’s mood and spirit.
In a world where this cuisine is so often misrepresented, Napoli Gourmet is dedicated to shining a light on the many things people don’t know about this precious heritage: authentic recipes, a strong cultural identity, and an ancient culinary tradition. By exploring the social, historical, and regional contexts that gave rise to each flavour, Napoli Gourmet takes you on a true journey through the tastes of Italy, without ever leaving Portugal.
Stefania de Sena is an Italian language, culture, and cooking teacher who has lived in Portugal for twenty years. By sharing the cultural expressions of her homeland, she keeps her roots alive. Through her cooking classes, where she presents, teaches, and invites students to taste Italian delicacies, she helps them discover the traditions and authenticity of this rich cultural heritage.
Not at all! Napoli Gourmet is open to everyone, from beginners to passionate home cooks. Stefania will guide you step by step, sharing traditional Italian techniques and tips to help you recreate delicious dishes with confidence.
Each weekly session features a complete Italian menu, including a starter, a main course, and a dessert. Every workshop explores different recipes, ingredients, and culinary traditions inspired by authentic Italian cuisine.
You’ll take home the recipes for all the dishes prepared during the session, so you can recreate the experience in your own kitchen and share a little taste of Italy with family and friends. You’ll also leave with new cooking skills, practical tips, and wonderful memories!
Each workshop lasts approximately 3.5 hours, combining hands-on cooking, cultural insights, and the pleasure of tasting and sharing the dishes we prepare together. The first session takes place on 28 October, from 18:30 to 22:00.
Our first session features a delicious three-course Italian menu: Cogumelo Recheado (stuffed mushrooms) as a starter, fresh homemade gnocchi as the main course, and a delightful dessert to finish. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover the flavours and traditions of Italian home cooking!
