Diego Haupenthal is a creative practitioner, facilitator, and educator who brings together curiosity, practical experience, and a strong belief in learning by doing. His workshops are designed to create spaces where people can explore new ideas, challenge assumptions, and turn insights into meaningful action. With an approachable and hands-on style, Diego makes complex topics accessible and engaging. Rather than simply delivering information, he encourages participants to experiment, collaborate, ask better questions, and develop their own perspectives. Diego’s workshops combine practical tools, interactive exercises, discussion, and real-world examples, adapting the experience to the needs and backgrounds of each group. Whether working with creative teams, organizations, students, or professionals, his aim is to leave participants with both fresh perspectives and something they can immediately apply. His workshops are built around one simple principle: meaningful learning happens when people actively participate.
Not at all. The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as anyone who already enjoys baking and wants to improve their skills.
We’ll focus on classic French-style croissants made with massa folhada (laminated puff pastry), rather than brioche-style dough. You’ll learn the techniques needed to create light, crisp, beautifully layered croissants.
Just yourself and your enthusiasm for baking! All the ingredients, equipment, and materials needed for the workshop will be provided.
Absolutely. The workshop is designed to give you the practical knowledge and techniques you need to recreate the process in your own kitchen, including tips for working with the dough, laminating, proofing, and baking.
More than just a recipe, you’ll leave with the confidence and skills to make beautiful croissants at home. 🥐 Hands-on experience — Work directly with the dough and experience every stage of the process. 🧈 Lamination skills — Understand how to create the delicate layers that give croissants their characteristic flakiness and texture. 👩🍳 Practical know-how — Learn how to recognise when the dough is ready, how to shape it correctly, and how to manage proofing and baking. 🏠 Confidence to bake at home — Take away techniques, tips, and knowledge you can use in your own kitchen. ✨ A memorable experience — Spend time baking, experimenting, and enjoying the process of making something delicious from scratch.
