Intermediate surf lesson at Praia Grande for surfers who have the basics down and are ready to develop their technique in one of the most powerful and consistent surf environments on the Sintra coast. Led by Pedro Marques, born and raised at Praia das Maças with a lifelong connection to these waters, these two-hour group sessions run daily with one instructor per group of six students. All equipment is included and fully sanitised before every session.
During summer the lessons run at least twice daily at flexible times adapted to the surf forecast and tidal conditions. Outside summer they run once daily on weekdays and weekends, always adjusted to conditions and group level. Praia Grande is a deliberate choice for intermediate sessions: the beach offers the kind of size and consistency that creates real learning opportunities for surfers ready to move beyond the basics. The coaching focus shifts toward wave selection and positioning, footwork and weight distribution, generating and maintaining speed along the wave, and beginning to direct your surfboard with genuine intention and control. Pedro’s approach is enthusiastic and specific, built around helping each student find the next level of their surfing.

I am Pedro Marques, born and raised at Praia das Maças on the Sintra coast, where the mountains meet the sea. I have had a strong connection with the ocean since childhood through surfing and bodyboarding, and the main goal of my surf school is to transmit that passion and technical depth at every level.
Lessons run daily. Twice daily during summer at flexible times, once daily outside summer. All equipment included and sanitised.

I'm Pedro, borned and raized at Praia das Maças, one of the most beautiful beaches in Sintra coast with the mountains as view from the sea.
Since young age I have a strong connection with the ocean in many ways. I'm the mentor of the project surf at surfschool and the main goal is to transmit this passion for the ocean by surf and bodyboard in a fun and enthusiastic mood.
