5-class kids surf pack at Praia Grande for children aged 6 to 12 who want to learn to surf properly over five two-hour sessions on one of the most beautiful beaches on the Sintra coast. Led by Pedro Marques, born and raised at Praia das Maças with a lifelong connection to the ocean, this monthly pack is designed to make surf and bodyboard a genuine outdoor activity for children, building discipline, ocean awareness and the specific skills these water sports develop across repeated sessions. All equipment included and the approach is always relaxed, fun and genuinely enjoyable.

Each session follows a clear three-part structure. Before entering the water, children receive a short beach introduction covering essential equipment and safety rules, followed by a warm-up and initial technique teaching on the sand. In the water, an adaptation phase begins without the board, allowing children to feel the movement and force of the waves before picking up the surfboard and starting the practical session. Throughout all five sessions the focus is on learning to respect the ocean and surf with growing confidence, knowledge and joy, building progressively on what was covered in the previous lesson.

Five sessions of surf learning at Praia Grande, genuine progression in technique and ocean awareness, and the foundation and enthusiasm to keep surfing as a regular outdoor activity.

I am Pedro Marques, born and raised at Praia das Maças on the Sintra coast, where the mountains meet the sea. I have had a strong connection with the ocean since childhood through surfing and bodyboarding, and the main goal of my surf school is to transmit that passion to children and young people in a fun, relaxed and enthusiastic way. The ocean has given me so much and I want to share that with every student who steps into the water with me.

Open to children aged 6 to 12. All equipment included. Five sessions of two hours each.
