No previous pattern-drafting experience is required. This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as anyone who would like to strengthen their understanding of garment construction and pattern drafting.
You will learn how to take and interpret body measurements, understand body proportions and shapes, and use pattern-drafting techniques to create your own basic blouse block.
All the essential materials and equipment needed for the workshop will be provided. You are welcome to bring a notebook and pen if you would like to take notes.
You will take home your own personalised basic blouse block, drafted using your measurements. This block can be used as a foundation for creating and adapting future blouse designs and other garments.
Yes! Your basic blouse block is designed to be a reusable foundation. You can use it to experiment with different styles, silhouettes, details, and pattern variations as you continue developing your pattern-drafting skills.
