If you have eaten a pastel de nata in Lisbon and wondered how something so simple can taste that good, this workshop is the answer. Our pastel de nata workshop in Lisbon takes your group through the full process from scratch, from making the puff pastry by hand to preparing the custard cream, understanding the technical details that separate a great pastel de nata from a forgettable one. The session ends with everyone sitting down to eat the ones they just made, still warm from the oven.

We open with a short introduction to the history of the pastel de nata, because this is one of those recipes where the story behind it makes it taste better. From there we move straight into the kitchen, working through the puff pastry and custard cream step by step with a professional chef guiding the group throughout. By the time the pastéis come out of the oven you will know exactly what went into them and have a recipe card to take home so you can try it again yourself.
