FAQ's
No experience is needed at all. Our classes are designed for complete beginners — you'll learn everything on the water, from scratch.
You'll get hands-on time at the helm and cover the essentials: points of sail, reading the wind, sail trim, tacking, gybing, and basic safety on board. Enough to feel the boat and understand how sailing works.
Classes run with a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 6 participants, ensuring personalised attention from the skipper.
Wear comfortable clothes and bring a light jacket or windbreaker — it can get breezy on the water. Sunscreen and sunglasses are also recommended. No special equipment needed.
Please arrive 15 minutes early and be aware of Lisbon's traffic. Classes depart from Marina de Oeiras — Uber tip: When inserting the address, write "Marina de Oeiras". You will be dropped at the marina entrance, where we will meet you at the gate for check-in.
Safety is our priority. If conditions are not suitable for sailing, we'll reschedule your class to the next available Saturday at no extra cost or reimburse you.

My husband and I did a sunset cruise with Miguel and Justin. It was the highlight of our trip to Lisbon. They are amazing hosts and made every effort to make us comfortable. We enjoyed visiting with them and seeing the beautiful views of the Lisbon shore. We even sailed up to the front of the monument of the discoveries so we could have that unusual view. So memorable, we will treasure it!!!

What an exceptional sail this weekend with Captain Miguel and team! My friends and I booked a private charter and enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime evening! It was a great sailing experience with not ideal weather. We’ll be sailing again with SailEx Nautica!!

Highly recommend this yacht trip, it was amazing sailing experience! The trip met and even exceeded all our expectations. Nice yacht, professional captain, friendly atmosphere, interesting conversations about the nuances of sailing, beautiful nature around and the opportunity to enjoy the sunset! The captain told us about the features of sailing and explained the main rules and processes. I really enjoyed driving the yacht, the incredible feeling of freedom is captivating!
