Hi, I’m Anna Matos. I’m a multidisciplinary artist passionate about making creativity accessible, fun, and meaningful.
I believe everyone is creative and art should be accessible to everyone. You don’t need to be “an artist” to enjoy making things.
Over the past few years, I’ve been helping people explore their creativity through artistic experiences that combine art, well-being, and experimentation.
My workshops are designed for anyone, whether you’re just curious to try something new or you already enjoy making art. I offer a safe and relaxed space to disconnect from the daily grind, explore new techniques, and rediscover the simple joy of creating something with your own hands.

No. The workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as people who already enjoy drawing. Anna will guide you through the techniques and provide individual feedback throughout the session.
The session takes place outdoors in Lisbon, exploring one or two nearby locations among the city's streets, squares and historic neighbourhoods.
Yes. Basic materials and equipment are included. You're also welcome to bring your own sketchbook or drawing tools if you prefer using your personal materials.
You'll explore quick sketching, composition, perspective, visual storytelling and simple watercolour techniques to capture architecture and street scenes.
You'll leave with a collection of original sketches of Lisbon, experience using watercolour techniques and greater confidence in observing and capturing the world around you through drawing.

I had a wonderful time taking this painting class with Anna Matos. She was a great teacher: knowgeable, clear and patient. She took me through the different steps of urban sketching: drawing fast with pencil, coloring with watercolors and then using the thin marker for definition…and voilá! I got a beautiful painting and a great souvenir of my trip to Lisbon, Portugal. The place was well selected, and I was lucky to be the one to the only one in the class that day.
