Children feel everything deeply. My Kids Wellness workshop in Lisbon gives them the tools to understand what they are feeling and what to do with it, through sound, breath, creativity and play. Using meditative instruments including singing bowls, drums, Tibetan bowls and gongs, we spend the morning exploring emotions, learning to breathe consciously, and discovering how sound can calm

We move through the session together at a gentle pace. We start by listening to each instrument individually and matching sounds to emotions using an emotion card. From there we explore breath through the rainbow breathing card, feel sound energy through a balloon, and learn to meditate with a Tibetan bowl. The morning builds toward a collective meditative concert where every instrument is played together, followed by hands-on experimentation where the children create their own group melody. We close with a mandala making activity that brings everything together quietly and beautifully.

Every child leaves with their own mindful kit and a set of simple tools they can actually use at home when big emotions show up.

I am Gonçalo Roquette, a Reiki Master, Crystal Therapy practitioner and Sound Therapy facilitator. I have been working with sound and wellness for years and I designed this session specifically for young children, because the earlier we give kids a language for their emotions, the better equipped they are for everything that follows.

Each session is limited to 15 families. Ticket price covers one child and one accompanying adult. The session takes place at A Sala wellness hub in São Bento, Lisbon, right opposite the Assembleia da República.

No experience with mindfulness or meditation needed, for you or your child. Just bring curiosity and an open morning.
