We had the absolute joy and privilege of being hosted by the breathtaking Humus Farm this past weekend for my sister’s wedding, and I truly cannot put into words how extraordinary the entire experience was! From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a dream! This was the first all-vegan wedding I’ve ever attended, and every single element—from the food to the seamless service—was perfection. The fact that the majority of guests weren’t vegan and still couldn't stop raving about the food speaks volumes! The venue itself is simply stunning—rustic, elegant, and full of charm, with the beauty of nature all around you, and a pool! The accommodation was cozy, and beautifully thought out, creating such a welcoming atmosphere! Anna and Bruno are impeccable hosts! Their warmth, attentiveness, and passion for what they do radiate through every detail. They, along with their phenomenal team, brought this wedding to life in a way that surpassed all expectations: The level of organisation, the thoughtful, personal touches, the incredible local wines and organic food, the suitability ethos throughout the venue and the adorable pets and farm animals- everything was infused with heart and care. This has genuinely been one of the most beautiful, meaningful, and memorable weddings I’ve ever had the honour of attending. If you're considering Humus Farm for your wedding or any special event—do it. I truly cannot recommend it more highly. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Anna, Bruno, and the amazing Humus Farm team—for creating magic!

Bruno&Ana are running an absolutely stunning wedding venue! They are top class hosts, speak English very well and they are hard-working people, genuine and generous to all their guests. On the farm lives many healthy, happy and loving animals which gives testimony of a strong connection to nature and sustainability. Accommodations are fresh, clean and equipped for both shorter and longer stays. The Humus farm is a family business with a very bright future.

Ana, the hostess, is an extremely friendly and hospitable lady who went out of her way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. We asked for breakfast every day and it was no trouble at all. Sober but tasty and fresh. The Humus Farm also offers some 'experiences' where we chose to participate in Friday Pizza night. Fresh pizza with their homemade dough, greens from their vegetable garden and local produce. Rich and exceptionally delicious. We very deliberately chose accommodation rather remote to make the most of the peace and quiet. This location, in Fernando Po, gave us exactly what we needed to unwind for 5 days. In an hour you are in beautiful Évora or one of the secluded beaches next to Setubal. Alcácer do Sal is also worth spending about 2 hours and is about a 30-minute drive away. Other than that, we obviously just enjoyed the estate and the pool. We had the 2 person accommodation and had more than enough space with this. You have everything you need to cook for yourself and if you do miss or need something you can just ask Ana, which we did when we needed a slightly bigger pot. The only thing which might need a little upgrade is the shower. The shower head is quite small and due to erosion there's s not a firm water jet coming through. In short, a stay we look back on with pleasure and can only recommend it to anyone who's looking for a quiet, organic and peaceful location. Thank you Ana and family!

We were going to host a retreat at Humus for the 2nd time, but we didn't get the number of participants needed to run it. I sent an email, called and sent a Whatsapp asking for a refund of my deposit (with plenty of time ahead of the event). 2 months have passed and the only things I have read are... "we will return it this week", "we will return it at the end of the month"... "we will return it on the 15th of April". Guess what? Is 17th of April and I still don't get my money back! so I have started a legal process against Humus Farm. They have been totally lying and irresponsible with someone that once was their client and had no problems with. I wouldn't recommend leasing with them if you are not sure that you will have enough participants for your event. We took the risk and now we are dealing with the money, time and emotional consequences. Really angry about this whole situation right now

Our stay at Humus Farm was incredible! We hosted an event here and Bruno and Ana weren't just great hosts -- they were true collaborators! It truly felt that whatever idea we took to them, they went above and beyond to help and make our event the best it could be. They were warm, helpful, patient and always found solutions to everything we brought to them. And the food was AMAZING! The rooms are adorable and full of Portuguese charm (like the rugs made by Ana's grandmotherm, and Ana's own wonderful artwork throughout) and comfortable beds. Fresh flowers and fresh delicious food made from the produce grown at the farm. I couldn't recommend Humus Farm enough. An amazing experience -- we will be back! Thank you Bruno, Ana, Fernanda and Ana the chef!

    More about your Teacher HumusFarm

    HumusFarm

Humus Farm is an organic certified producer of fruits and vegetables with accommodation, art gallery, spaces for events and is implementing a green and rural business incubator called Fava and a space for gastronomic experiences from garden to plate, with courses, workshops, showcookings and events called Refeitório.

At the beginning of this journey is Ana's connection to the land, to the vineyard and to the wine, because her family is an agricultural and wine producer to several generations in the demarcated region of the Douro. Graduated in Fine Arts from FBAUL, producer of television and concerts in the last 15 years, she assumed at 37 years the desire to start a project that reflects her way of being. Defending a healthy diet, protecting the environment and aware that each person can make a difference, she felt encouraged to contribute to a better future. It has been conducting diverse formations of organic, biodynamic and sintrópica agriculture since 2015.
